Securus Tech is supposed to be the connection service for Jail inmates and families/loved ones. This service is absolutely terrible.

You can NEVER (I mean NEVER) get a person on the phone. No one responds to the "Live Chat" it is ONLY links to more links on the FAQ page. I rarely get a reply to an email and if I do, it's with simply links to their FAQ pages again. When you try to call, you never get a person and eventually the phone call is dropped.

The company charges CONSTANTLY with "fee's", "charges" admin fees, fees to add money, monthly "service" fees ETC ETC ETC. I have spent over $80 in the last month and literally received only about 10 phone calls (that are supposed to be $1.58 each). I setup a Video visit from home, and it never worked. My end just showed "Ready" and the inmate's end just read "waiting for XXXXX to connect" meanwhile we were both there, trying to connect.

No one at this company cares one bit about the horrific service this company provides. Why?

Because we have NO other option that to go thru them, so they win regardless of how terrible their product is. It is such a shame.

Maybe if we all band together and stop this money making machine for the rich we can make a change, when the home video do decides to work either I cannot hear them or vise Versa but most of the times I just wait on the other person to join until the video is dropped. call our congressmen, if enough of us makes enough noise especially during an election year our voices will be heard, if I robbed as many people as sucurus do Iโ€™d be in prison for life!!

I've had great luck, not sure why the bad reviews. Visit was clear & very user friendly.

Only problem is sometimes the inmate doesn't show up but its the jail that doesn't inform him of the visit. Then I call customer svc & before we even hang up, my account has been refunded! No complaints except cost. I've been searching for promo codes or coupons all over the web & can't find a single 1!

My 1 complaint with the company. So I'm pissed that I can't find them, they gotta exist!

I'm truly sorry that all of you have been having problems. I *think* they have gotten better (not their customer service, that still sucks, major!).

The only issue I have with the video visits is that the phone crackles, so it's a little hard to hear/understand. For those of you that "recently" lost out on your video visits, here is a link to their Request a Credit page.

You have to download it fill it out and then send it back, but once I got through being pissed about their stupid, asinine Live Chat (which is so NOT live at all), I finally called their phone number (and *gasp* got an actual person - although he was pretty stupid), and I got their refund page out of them, which wasn't easy. Its absolutely ridiculous the amount of laws broken by this company and the zero *** they give WHEN NOT IF, "THEIR SYSTEMS MESS UP" THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPLETELY BE IN CHARGE OF CALLS AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO STOP CALLS IF THEY DEEM NECESSARY FEOM ANYOMES NUMBER!!!

It is funny how out of everyone you are the only one not having problems and you have the cheapest fees. Seems like they sent one of their idiotic employees to come post.

It isn't 100s of people doing something wrong. It is Securus being incompetant.

These people should be SHUT DOWN immediately! I understand that they provide services for inmates and their families BUT the services they provide are a complete scandal and they are becoming rich from other people's inconvenient circumstances and it's not right! Yes.....There's a fee for EVERY move you make on the website and a fee for a fee that was another fee.....BOGUS AS Hโ‚ฌLL! Costs $7.95 just to add money.....SERIOUSLY????

Yes, mine said the same thing "waiting for inmate to connect" it's not the money that bothers me it's the principle of the matter. This call is important to me, now I have to write a postcard to tell him what happened and see what I can do.

And I have to drive downtown to use the facility in hopes that someone didn't already take the one in person video downtown. I have the app on the iPhone and tested the connection in advance and I know this isn't my end and if I hear that the inmate was waiting just like me..I'm gonna be pissed and I will file a complaint with the fcc

this is so true the company does not have it togwther now they are charging a 3.00 fee for all transactions and when i paid for my at home visit my connection was perfect used it on my tablet it kept cutting me out and then he couldnt hear me and then i couldnt see him.....nothing to do with my end because i skype family from different states....it use to be easy and cheap but nooooo they are big jerks these days

I had trouble with the video visits until I realized it was all on my end. You need to make sure you click system requirements on the video visitation column and see if you're all up to date.

THEN you need to turn off your pop up blockers on your browser or it won't allow the video to open up. I have no problems with video visits now and they only cost $5.00 a visit for me so I make 2 every single day to see my love. Stop accusing the company of being terrible because they really aren't.

They are my only way of seeing my baby and I have no issues. All of your problems are user error.

Why do your video visits cost 5.00$ mines cost 6.99 th e first visit and 12.95 the second visit which is ridiculous but I wonder why??

Same thing happened to me with video chat I got maybe 10 minutes out of 30 min where I could see my loved one. It all sucks really and their rates keep going up. There should be some level of customer service even for inmates getting phone calls.

I am currently trying to re-establish service with them but was told I had to go to Western Union to make payment on my account in the amount of $8.65 before I can proceed with receiving calls from family. But this is the mystery, how can a pre-pay account go into collection??? Something needs to be done about this company taking advantage of people....
